In 1998, on the advice of my editor, I turned my attention to the short story form in an effort to explore the craft of writing with greater focus. I also hoped to establish publishing credentials through submissions to literary journals and magazines. For five years I wrote only short stories, and since that time I have been fortunate to have nine stories/novel excerpts appear in ten different publications. The table of contents at left provides links to each of these stories, reprinted in their entirety. I am currently working on a new book of short stories with a unifying theme, and will reprint stories here as appropriate.
